One hundred general knowledge questions with answers and one-line facts on history, geography, polity, economy, science, static GK, sports and recent events.

General Knowledge is the section where regular reading gives you the biggest benefit. These 100 questions cover the subjects that SSC exams ask about most often: history, geography, polity, economy, general science, static GK, sports and important recent events. Each question has four options, the correct answer and a one-line fact so that you learn something new even from the questions you answer correctly.

A note on freshness: The recent-events and sports questions in this set are based on events up to 2025. For anything that happened after that, please also read the latest monthly current affairs, because SSC papers often include very recent news.

How to use it: Attempt the questions in 25 minutes without looking at the answers. Then check your score, and read the facts for every question you missed. Keep a small notebook and write down the facts you got wrong, because these are the ones most likely to trick you again.

How to Remember What You Read

  • Revise in small pieces. Read 20 facts a day and revise them the next morning instead of trying to memorise 100 in one sitting.
  • Connect facts. Link a person to a year, a year to an event and an event to a place. Stories are easier to remember than lists.
  • Use tables for lists. Awards, rivers, states and capitals are best learned in small tables.
  • Test yourself again. Attempt this set again after a week. The questions you answer correctly the second time are the facts you have really learned.
